As a former AAU, high school, and college coach there have been very few players whom I’ve coached or recruited that I would consider a complete player; someone who’s an exceptional athlete, fundamentally flawless, an ultimate competitor, and a great leader. These components are at the root of every individual sitting in championship locker rooms across the United States. It’s the ultimate combination of desire and direction that can end up being the difference between watching someone cut down the nets or holding scissors in your hands. Many players have the dream but lack the desire and some have the desire but lack the direction. Clutch was established to ignite that desire and map out the path to success. Here’s what your path will look like:
Player Development Plan

TRAINING THE ATHLETE
-Each training/practice session incorporates the many physical aspects of the sport with an opportunity to focus and improve on the following concepts:
*Speed & Quickness
*Balance
*Agility
*Explosion
*Footwork
*Strength
*Endurance

TRAINING THE PERSON (PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN)
-Academics over Athletics: During the winter season, Clutch holds study halls prior to every team practice to make sure each player is improving or maintaining their academic standing.
-Volunteer Work: Clutch teams are expected to volunteer and serve their community
-Leaders of the Future: Our players will learn valuable life lessons every practice, training session, game that will empower them to lead within their school and community.
TRAINING THE COMPETITOR
-Players will set training goals at the beginning of training camp and will be held accountable to meet or surpass those goals prior to completion of camp
-Each practice/training session, players will participate in game like situations as well as compete against each other in live competition
-Every drill will be timed, scored, and most will have a winner and a loser.

TRAINING THE PLAYER

-The main portion of our practices/training sessions will be directed towards individual skill development with the areas of focus being Ballhandling & Passing, Shooting, Footwork and Individual Offensive Moves.
-Clutch Performance Trainers use an individualized and progressive series of drills for each skill area that challenges each player on a nightly basis regardless of their skill level
-Players are given an opportunity to work on their skills outside of Clutch Trainings/Practices with access to copies of various workouts and online training videos.
